South 4.5 miles is the village town of Trinidad with its harbor
and pier for
fishing and ocean tours, restaurants, post office, gas station, and grocery/deli.
Trinidad State Beach and the Trinidad Head trail provide wonderful hiking and coastline
scenery.
Arcata, 25 minutes south is a diverse university town with its cultural events,
small shops, restaurants, and movie theatres. Ten miles further south is the city of
Eureka and its restored Victorian Old Town, Humboldt Bay, and fine Victorian homes.
The inn is handicapped-accessible and open year round. The
winter months with the dynamic intensity of the crashing ocean waves can be a special time
to visit.
